UAP Develop New Defence against Lockbumping
Lockbumping is a classic method of entry into homes used by locksmiths but also burglars. UAP hope to put an end to the practice with their new UAP + Zero Lift Kitemark Cylinder which offers home owners extra defence against this particular method of entry.
Chris Pankhurst of the company explains: "Lock bumping is a very serious and common problem which homeowners can be protected from both quickly and cheaply, it's something which UAP TradeLocks is very passionate about.
"Following on from our 'Ban the Bump Key' campaign and the success of Pickbuster, which gives a chemical resistance to 'lock bumping', we got to work developing a mechanical solution to combat the widespread and costly crimes of lock bumping and snapping - and the Zero Lift Cylinder was born."
The new cylinder has received accreditation by the British Standard Kitemark and ‘Secured by Design’, the accredited scheme form the police and can be fitted by Locksmith Local Ltd- 24 hour London and Essex Locksmiths.
