Security Industry Authority Licences Reduce in Cost

The licence fee for Security Industry Authority (SIA) licences has been reduced.

Applying for renewal or new applications, the licence will now cost £220 per year. This has reduced from £245 per year. Companies paying for bulk licences will see a £2 reduction per employee, with the annual SIA licence costing £15 per worker. A second licence is available for £110.

The licence fee reduction follows a four year freeze of the licence price.

Ruth Henig said the reduction reflects the difficult economic climate and a Home Office minister said they were impressed with the SIA, who are hoping other agencies and bodies adopt the same philosophy.
